13TH ST. STYLE by CHRISTOPHER LANGE
Well well, what have we here…
Love the glasses. Can’t write more cause I’m running out the door to shoot some 35mm for the afternoon.
Have a good one, everybody.
So as you might have guessed, I’m back on track with my regular updates again. I’ve been shooting like a mad man down in the city, and am about 30 or 40 rolls into the summer season so far, and my cameras are like insatiable 5 year olds.
They see everything, always seem to be hungry, and won’t listen to me when I tell them not to talk to strangers. They also won’t shut up, no matter how nicely I ask them. I guess it’s a good thing…
Anyway, I shot this last weekend at my spot down in the MPD, and I’m loving the silver-tone in the skin. I realized that even though I’m shooting Ilford’s Delta 3200, I haven’t been developing quite enough, so I tried giving the most recent batch of rolls an extra 4 minutes in the soup.
Boom.
Gorgeous highlights, and plenty of shadow detail. Ilford needs to correct their “suggested times, because I’m shooting at 3200 and processing for what they suggest as the times for ISO 25600. Go figure.
So, lots more coming up soon; I’m back down in the city for the next 3 days and then scooting back upstate again for a little while, just in time to come back next Thursday and do it all again.
I love being a photographer!
Always the best,
Chris
